Price Watch: Why Sunbeams Cost More in August

It is a simple matter of supply, my friend. In August the sun sits lower in the afternoon sky, stretches further across the carpet, and refuses to leave until nearly nine. That is a longer beam. A longer beam is a better product. A better product commands a premium, and I command a better coffee.

Currently, a prime beam on the south facing sofa is leasing for 72 treats a week, up 11 percent. Meanwhile, shade is going for next to nothing, which is why you find so many sceptics in the cellar. If you are tired of overpaying, my advice is simple: move to the cellar and tell no one. I will deny I ever said it.
